Prayer Chain

In the Bible we read:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

[Philippians 4: 6-7]

The Kirkton Prayer Chain consists of a group of people who have undertaken to pray confidentially for the members, family and friends of Kirkton Church. Prayer requests can be submitted anonymously.

Requests can be submitted via the e-mail address in the weekly intimation sheet. The congregation is encouraged to make prayers requests, as the need arises, via the confidential email address – kirktonprayer@gmail.com.

Alternatively, requests can be written on the prayer request slips found in the plastic wallets situated in a church chairs downstairs or the pews upstairs. Only the Christian name or first initial of the person requiring prayer should be given, along with brief details. The Prayer Chain is very pleased to hear about answers to prayers or to receive updates with regards to a request made, so the prayer focus remains relevant or can be discontinued.

The congregation is very much encouraged to use this facility alongside their own personal prayers for others.

The apostle Paul said,
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for

all people. Ask God to help them, intercede on their behalf and give thanks for them.”

[1 Timothy 2:1]
