The Boys Brigade is a uniformed Christian Organisation for boys whose object is “The advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys and the promotion of the Habit of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self Respect, and all that tends to towards a true Christian Manliness.”

Today our 4th Carluke Company is a very strong Company of around 110 boys attached to Kirkton Church, catering for a wide group of boys between the ages of 5 and 18 years and working on three sections.

ANCHOR BOYS – open to all boys from age 5 years up to the end of P3, the Anchor Boys meet in Kirkton Church on Wednesday evening from 6.00 pm – 7.00 pm..

The programme includes games, stories and crafts.

JUNIOR SECTION –  open to all boys from P4, P5 and P6, the Junior Section meet in the Kirkton Church Halls on Wednesday evenings from 7.00 – 8.30pm.

The programme offers games, figure marching and a number of achievements linked to the Award structure.

COMPANY SECTION/SENIORS – open to all boys from P7 up to 18 years of age.aa7

The Company programme consists of activities as diverse as First Aid, Drill, Scripture Knowledge, Camping, Expedition, and PT together with numerous types of sports ranging from football to cross country.

The Company Section meets in the Recreation Centre each Friday evening from 7.15-9.45 pm.

There is also a Senior Programme once a month for activities such as paintball, Laser Quest, go-karting,etc.

Because of the large number of boys in our Company and the wide and varied programme of events on offer, we need a constant supply of Officers and helpers. If you are able to help out in any way we would be delighted to hear from you.
