PRAYER 26th January – Food Bank
Thank you for all volunteers at the food bank. We ask that donations would continue to come in and give thanks for all who donate. We would ask that suitable premises be found to accommodate the rising need.

RETREAT The discipleship workgroup has organised a retreat for Saturday February 29th, 10 – 4 pm, at Braehead house. The cost is £15 per head and includes lunch. Please contact Val Macsween or the church office if you would like to reserve a place.

STRATHCLYDE PARK TO CHATELHERAULT From Strathclyde Country Park we take the footpath to Chatelherault 3 miles away.
Over the River Clyde, under the M74, back to the banks of the Clyde before joining Avon Water and eventually arriving at Chatelherault, once the residence of the Dukes of Hamilton. A look round the Visitor’s Centre and a coffee break before making our way back the start point via the same route. This is a flat linear walk of 6 miles in total. Heart for Art – a weekly art group for people with dementia in partnership with Crossreach – Thursday 11am-1pm
Musical Tea – last Tuesday of the month 1.30-3pm for 45 minutes of singing followed by afternoon tea £2.50, open to all.
Tuesday 11th Feb An Evening carers meeting for those supporting anyone with memory issues 7.30-9pm in St Andrew’s Session House.

LANARK & DISTRICT U3A monthly coffee morning will be in the Clydesdale Inn on Tuesday, 4th February, at 10.30am. Come along for a coffee & chat to find out more about what this lively & varied organisation can offer you if you are retired or semi- retired. Information leaflets will be available. - The first meeting will be a seed and pot swap. If you have seeds you have collected or too many for your purpose please bring them along, or plants sitting in pots you don’t have room for.
- You do not need to have anything to swap just come for a chat and find out what’s going on. Bring a friend or neighbour.

- They’ll also use this first session to discuss your ideas for the DEN.
The March meeting will be a mini potato day where a selection of seed potatoes and onion sets will be available to buy.
Do come to see our ever expanding dynamic site; we have an orchard, bouquet and botanic garden, polytunnels, vegetable beds, soft fruit cages, woodland walk, and coming soon kids & guardians growing sessions. After exploring the site there’s a welcoming coffee shop on site.
FORWARD IN FELLOWSHIP CONCERT The 4th Carluke Company attached to our church is a member of the Lanarkshire District Fellowship of The Boys’ Brigade (“LDF”). The LDF has partnered with two local Lanarkshire charities, Hope for Autism, and You are my Sunshine and is producing a one-off charity concert in their aid. The concert will take place on Saturday 29 February 2020, Dalziel St. Andrews, Merry Street, Motherwell, doors open 7PM, curtain up 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £5 and can be purchased from Lesley Ewing.
The LDF are delighted to confirm that four fantastic acts are supporting the concert: the award-winning Wishaw and District Brigade Band, the Pipers of the LDF, The Jolly Bs (Stonehouse Male Voice Choir) and renowned organist Mr Mark Hindley of RSNO fame. Get your tickets while you can for what is sure to be a great evening of musical entertainment in aid of two great causes.

Give the first name or the initial of the person requiring and give brief details, place in the box in the vestibule marked “Prayer Requests”. Please advise of answers to prayer or any change in the situation via email or request slip. Prayer request are active for one month from date submitted. If further prayer is required then please submit another, updated request.
