PRAYER – Food Bank and Baby Bank
We continue to give thanks for all those who volunteer in the Food Bank and the Baby Bank and donations of goods and money. We pray for all those receiving help will find self worth and ways out of their poverty.

Having to buy lots of stock just now – not panic buying – just having the stock to meet demand. Long list this week: jars of sauce for pasta and rice, hot and cold meat meals, peas, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, spaghetti, diluting juice, bleach, soap and shampoo. We could use your excess carrier bags please .

Our AGM will be held in Kirkton Church Farron Hall on Tuesday 24th March at 7.30pm. Anyone interested in the work of the food bank is welcome to attend.
TRAIDCRAFT STALL – The stall will be open on Sunday on its usual sport in the large hall after the morning service. We have a number of new catalogues for customers to borrow so why not come along and take a look at what’s on offer. The organisation attempts to give small producers in developing countries a helping hand to make a living from farming or from crafts. Please try to buy Fairtrade goods wherever possible. Thank you for your support.
THE GUILD AT KIRKTON – The Guild AGM Dinner will be held, in the small hall, on Tuesday, 17th March. Please remember that the meeting starts at 6pm.
“CONSIDERING INCLUSION” As we endeavour to be a welcoming church for everyone, a conference has been arranged for April 25th, here in Kirkton Church. This is an opportunity to hear from experts in their respective areas who will give us insights into other people’s lives and how we can become more understanding and supportive of differences. This is open to everyone and we hope many of you will attend. It will run from 10am – 4pm, cost is £5 and lunch is provided. Please let the church office, Lesley Ewing or Val Macsween know if you are going.
SCOTTISH “SPRING FLING” Saturday 28th March in Kirkton Church Hall at 7.30pm. An evening of Scottish food and entertainment raising funds for Clydesdale Foodbank.
ST ANDREW’S HOSPICE – Make a Will Month – March 2020
Make or update your Will and support St Andrew’s Hospice during the month of
March. Several Lanarkshire Legal Firms have agreed to write a basic Will and
waive their legal fee, in return for a donation to St Andrew’s Hospice. For

DRAMA KIRK – “ONE GOOD FRIDAY” – this is a UK initiative to perform the same play at the same time in various towns and cities. The only Scottish production is in Hamilton on Friday 10th April at 3.15pm in Castle Street, near Asda. They are also performing in East Kilbride on Easter Saturday (11th April) at 2.30pm in Duncanrig Secondary, Winnipeg Drive.
LANARK & DISTRICT U3A The next monthly meeting of Lanark & District U3A is on Wednesday 18th March at 2pm in the Memorial Hall, Lanark. Give the first name or the initial of the person requiring and give brief details, place in the box in the vestibule marked “Prayer Requests”. Please advise of answers to prayer or any change in the situation via email or request slip. Prayer request are active for one month from date submitted. If further prayer is required then please submit another, updated request.
