PRAYER 12th January – Management
Thank you, Lord, for all our work groups as they strive to manage the day to day running of our Church. As the Management Group deal with records, oversee the work of the office, HR and other tasks unseen, let us as a congregation give them support.
LEGO HOUSE FOR STREET LEVEL – in 2019 your contributions to Street Level amounted to £825.70 bringing the total since the foundation of the wee house in 2013 to £6686.49. Please continue to “pop in your pound” each week as the need for support is as great as ever.
CLYDESDALE FOOD BANK Thank you all for your support. Our stocks are generally fairly good. However, there are some basics that need topping up: kitchen roll, toilet roll, razors, tomato ketchup, tinned potatoes, tinned macaroni and ravioli.

all of the churches for one off donations and standing orders.
JAR OF GRACE APPEAL 2020 This year we are once again asking you to use a Jar of Grace to raise funds for UNICEF to help their workers respond quickly to emergency situations throughout the world which put children at risk. Copies of a Gift Aid form with a tear-off label which can be attached to your Jar of Grace are now available in the vestibule after morning worship or from one of us. Your donations will be collected shortly after Easter, counted for you and sent to UNICEF. Many thanks once again for your continued support of vulnerable children throughout our world. FORWARD IN FELLOWSHIP CONCERT The 4th Carluke Company attached to our church is a member of the Lanarkshire District Fellowship of The Boys’ Brigade (“LDF”). The LDF has partnered with two local Lanarkshire charities, Hope for Autism, and You are my Sunshine and is producing a one-off charity concert in their aid. The concert will take place on Saturday 29 February 2020, Dalziel St. Andrews, Merry Street, Motherwell, doors open 7PM, curtain up 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £5 and can be purchased from Lesley Ewing.
The LDF are delighted to confirm that four fantastic acts are supporting the concert: the award-winning Wishaw and District Brigade Band, the Pipers of the LDF, The Jolly Bs (Stonehouse Male Voice Choir) and renowned organist Mr Mark Hindley of RSNO fame. Get your tickets while you can for what is sure to be a great evening of musical entertainment in aid of two great causes.
LANARK & DISTRICT U3A will be holding their popular, annual Scottish Celebration in the Memorial Hall, Lanark at 2pm on Wednesday 15th January. Retired and semi-retired welcome. Info @ www.u3a-lanark.xyz
KIRKTON PRAYER CHAIN. – The congregation is encouraged to make prayer requests, as the need arises, via the confidential email address: kirktonprayer@gmail.com Alternatively, you can use the yellow Prayer Request slips in the plastic wallets in the church chairs and pews. Give the first name or the initial of the person requiring and give brief details, place in the box in the vestibule marked “Prayer Requests”. Please advise of answers to prayer or any change in the situation via email or request slip. Prayer request are active for one month from date submitted. If further prayer is required then please submit another, updated request.
